This map shows the legality of prostitution in various countries. Places marked in red are where it’s completely illegal. Green means that prostitution is legal and regulated by the government, which includes the US state of Nevada, and blue countries are where prostitution is legal and unregulated but things like brothels are illegal.

I have to say I’m surprised at how many blue countries there are, especially Canada and the UK.

Prostitution should definitely be legal. Take whatever moral high ground you like, but it is the worlds oldest profession, and it will happen no matter what your government says. It is FAR safer to have it regulated by authorities. You could then keep the prostitutes safe along with their clients. You can ensure that safe sex is observed by all. Equally, it would be easier to shut down those which act illegally. Heck, we could even tax it if you want! Make some money from all the Sex - I mean - Fifty Shades helped us out of the double dip recession!
